Music mogul facing gun charges after arrest in Los Angeles

Sean "Diddy" Combs was arrested by federal agents in New York City on Monday, June 27th, on charges related to a gun found on his private jet in Los Angeles last month. The arrest was confirmed by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York.

According to a criminal complaint filed in federal court in Los Angeles, Combs was charged with one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The complaint alleges that Combs was in possession of a .380-caliber pistol on his private jet on June 15th, when it landed at Los Angeles International Airport.

Combs has a prior felony conviction for weapons possession. In 2001, he was convicted of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree after he fired a gun at a nightclub in Manhattan. He was sentenced to three years' probation.

The arrest of Combs comes just days after he was reportedly involved in a fight with another man at a nightclub in Beverly Hills. The incident is currently under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.

Combs is scheduled to appear in federal court in New York City on Tuesday, June 28th. He faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison if convicted on the gun charge.
