Corporal Joe Bauers, a decidedly average American, is selected for a top-secret U.S. Army experiment in which he is experimentally frozen and then forgotten. When he is finally awakened in the year 2515, he discovers a world where the average person's IQ has declined to 20 and the President is a former porn star.
In this brave new world, Bauers must use his wits to survive and find a way to return to his own time. Along the way, he meets a colorful cast of characters, including a dim-witted but well-intentioned Army private, a beautiful but airheaded weather girl, and a wheelchair-bound scientist who is the only person who seems to understand what's going on.
