New Agreement Extends Partnership for Six Years

The English Football Association (FA) and Emirates have agreed to a new six-year deal that will see the Emirates FA Cup continue to be sponsored by the airline until at least 2030. The agreement will also see the introduction of significant changes to the calendar and format of the competition.

Key Changes to the Format

From the first round onwards, replays have been scrapped, reducing the number of fixtures in the competition. This change is intended to reduce fixture congestion and allow teams to focus on their league campaigns. The Emirates FA Cup Final will continue to be held at Wembley Stadium and will take place at 3pm on Saturday 25 May 2024. The date of the final has been moved forward from its traditional date in May to avoid a clash with the UEFA Champions League final.

Strengthening the FA Cup

This partnership will see the Premier League provide increased financial support to the FA Cup and grassroots football.
