2016 Denver Broncos Roster Players: Where Are They Now?

Brock Osweiler

Quarterback

After the Super Bowl, Osweiler became the starting quarterback for the Houston Texans, but an unsuccessful 2016 season led to his release. He then signed with the Cleveland Browns, where he served as a backup quarterback for two seasons. In 2019, he signed with the Miami Dolphins and was named the starter, but he was benched after a poor performance in Week 4. He was released by the Dolphins in October 2019 and has not played in the NFL since.

Trevor Siemian

Quarterback

Siemian started the 2016 season as the Broncos' backup quarterback, but he took over as the starter after Osweiler's struggles. He started 14 games in 2016 and led the Broncos to a 9-7 record. However, he was benched in favor of Paxton Lynch in 2017 and was traded to the Minnesota Vikings in 2018. He spent two seasons with the Vikings as a backup quarterback and was released in 2020. He has not played in the NFL since.

Paxton Lynch

Quarterback

Lynch was drafted by the Broncos in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He started the 2017 season as the Broncos' starting quarterback, but he struggled mightily and was benched after just three games. He started one more game in 2017 and was released by the Broncos in 2018. He signed with the Seahawks in 2018 and spent two seasons as a backup quarterback. He was released by the Seahawks in 2020 and has not played in the NFL since.
